Introduction
The NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is considered one of the most difficult and prestigious examinations conducted for getting admission into the public as well as private medical universities and colleges around India. It was introduced in the year 2013. NEET is organised by the National Board of Education (NBE) in India. NEET is conducted on both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
To get into Post Graduation Diploma for Medicine and other equivalent degrees, one must secure an appropriate rank in the NEET (PG) entrance test. Colleges are allotted according to the rank obtained by the candidates. The rank obtained by the Candidates also determines the branch of medicine that the aspirant will get. By qualifying for NEET, a medical graduate becomes eligible to get into most of the medical colleges across India. However, certain medical institutes like AIIMS Delhi and other AIIMS colleges across India do not select students through NEET. They conduct separate examinations for entrance into these institutions called the INI-CET.
