About the Scholarship
The Foundation (SDEF) provides Merit-cum-Means Scholarships to exceptionally talented but poor students who cannot afford to study at reputed colleges, owing to financial constraints. The foundation awards scholarships on the basis of school merit or to the top rankers in national/state level common entrance tests based on which they have secured admissions to quality institutes/colleges. The Scholarship is offered to students pursuing Engineering, MBBS, Pharmacy, IT, Architecture, and all undergraduate courses in Government or private Institutes, including IITs, NITs, and others.
Scholarship Program
Swami Dayanand Education Foundation provides Merit-cum-Means Scholarships to students pursuing professional courses in India. The aim of the Scholarship program is to offer help to deserving students who have secured the admission on the basis of merit at premier colleges in India. Thirty percent of our total scholarships are reserved for women. The Scholarship is offered to students pursuing Engineering, MBBS, Pharmacy, IT, Architecture courses in Government or private Institutes in India.
Eligibility Criteria
- The scholarship is available for all undergraduate courses– engineering, medical, architecture, etc. and other undergraduate courses.
- Secured atleast 80% in CBSE Board or 70% or above Marks in Other Boards in 12th Class CGPA of at least 8.0 for Second year students
- Annual Family Income should be less than Rs 8 Lacs per annum
- Only first and second year students are allowed to apply for this program
- Only one year drop is allowed for technical courses
- All India Overall Rank should be less than 90,000 for Engineering & Architecture courses and 40,000 for medical courses
- Age limit - 19 years for first year students and 20 years for second year students

- Recent photograph.
- Government authorized ID card. (Adhaar Card / Pan Card / Driving License / Voter ID / etc)
- 10th and 12th Marksheets/Certificates.
- Academic Marksheets for all semesters/term-wise scores.
- Seat Allotment Letter.
- Copy of Fee Receipts.
- Copy of Education loan (If any)
- Family Income Proof- Salary Certificate/Salary Slip (For 3 Months)/IT Return Form/Pension Copy.
- Utility Bills (Electricity, Gas, Telephone, Water) of last six months.
- Bank Statement of last one year.
- Reference letter from two neighbors.
- Agricultural land documents/Pics of Shop/Self declaration as per proforma given in application form.
- House Pictures - Inside and Outside (4 photos) & Family Photograph.
- Academic excellence/Awards if any
- Any other relevant document as declared in the application form
- Video telling us about Swami Dayanand Saraswati
- Video on reciting full Vande Mataram of 6 stanzas
