About the Program
Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance Scheme 2023-24 is an initiative of the Directorate of Medical Education Research, Government of Maharashtra, to provide financial assistance to students pursuing specified medical courses in government-aided/corporation/private un-aided colleges. The selected students will receive a hostel maintenance allowance of up to 30,000 per annum.
Overview
Students whose parent's annual Income is below 8,00,000 and Students whose parents are Marginal Land Holder and registered labour are eligible to apply.
Benefits
- Hostel maintenance allowance for students with annual income less than 8,00,000: Rs.3000 per year for Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad and Rs.2000 per year for other locations. (for 10 months in an academic year).
- Hostel maintenance allowance for students whose parents are Aplabhudharak Shetkarii/Registered Labourer: Rs.30,000 per year for Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Aurangabad and Rs.20,000 per year for other locations(for 10 months in an academic year).
Eligibility
- For Students who had been admitted for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPTH, BOTH, B.SC Nursing, BUMS, BP & O, BASLP in government aided/Corporation/Private un-aided colleges.
- Family's Annual income is less than equal to Rs.8,00,000.
- For students whose parents are Alpabhudharak Shetkari/registered labourers.
- Hostel maintenance allowance for students with annual income less than 1, 00,000: Rs.3000 per year for Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad and Rs. 2000 per year for other locations. (for 10 months in an academic year).
- Hostel maintenance allowance for students whose parents are Aplabhudharak Shetkari/Registered Labourers: Rs.30,000 per year for Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Aurangabad and Rs.20,000 per year for other locations(for 10 months in an academic year).
- Not applicable for students pursuing admission through management quota/Institute level.
- Students who have taken hostel admission in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Nagpur or other locations in Maharashtra.
- Candidates are eligible for those who have taken an admission under the General category and SEBC Category.

- Domicile Certificate
- New applicants need to submit HSC and SSC mark sheet
- Income certificate of Parents.
- Previous year's marksheet.
- Affidavit
- Registered Labourers/Aplabhudarak Shetkari need to submit a proof letter approved by the tahsildar /Income certificate of Parents.
- Aadhar card
- Student's PAN card (optional)
- Father's PAN card
- Mother's PAN card (optional)
How Can you Apply
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Click on the 'New Applicant Registration' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 4: Fill in all required details, and verify the email and phone number.
Step 5: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometrics.
Step 6: After completing the authentication process, fill in all the required details to the 'Register' button.
Step 7: Now, click the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 8: Log in using the username and password.
Step 9: Fill in the necessary details, upload the specified documents, and submit.
Important Date
Scholarship Deadline: 15th July 2024.
Selection Criteria
The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
Terms and Conditions
Students pursuing admission through the management quota/institute level are not eligible for the scholarship.
