About Indus Towers Scholarship Program 2022-23

Indus Towers Scholarship Program is a CSR initiative of Indus Towers Ltd, initiated under the “Saksham” Flagship Program, providing young students with disabilities the opportunity to pursue their career aspirations by offering scholarships for higher education. The program aims to provide foundational support to deserving students with disabilities who may lack the resources to pursue their dreams. This scholarship empowers them to become successful professionals, unlocking their potential to uplift themselves and their communities, and promoting socio-economic development. The Scholarship program is being implemented by Shishu Sarothi Centre for Rehabilitation and Training for Multiple Disability.
Eligibility:
• Applicants must be Indian Nationals.
Category I: Applicants are state subjects/domiciled in the Northeast states, namely Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
Category II: Applicants are from Rest of India studying in Indian Institutes of National Importance (INIs). Visit: https://www.education.gov.in/institutions-national-importance
• Applicant must have benchmark disabilities, i.e. Not less than 40% and above.
• Applicant must be between 14-30 years old.
• Applicant must have completed HSLC/Class 10 or preceding examinations with at least 55% or equivalent CGPA, i.e., 6.25.
• The annual income of the family of the applicant must fall under BPL (Below Poverty Line) or Economic Weaker Section.
• Candidates must be willing to pursue or currently pursuing:
o Academic and professional courses from affiliated institutions: Higher secondary, graduate, post-graduate, master’s, and diploma.
o Short-term skill-building and certification courses: Computer, vocational, hospitality, etc.
o Coaching for employment-oriented competitive exams like Bank PO, UPSC, SSC etc.
• The course duration must not extend beyond March 31, 2025.
Prizes & Rewards: The scholarship covers the fees (on actuals) paid directly to the educational institution.
