About Reliance Foundation Scholarship 2025
The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship 2025-26 aims to empower India’s youth by supporting 5,000 meritorious students every year through a merit-cum-means scholarship program. The initiative provides financial assistance of up to ?2 Lakhs over the duration of the degree, ensuring that students from all streams can pursue their undergraduate education without financial burden.
The Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships 2025-26 aim to nurture India’s brightest minds in the fields of Engineering and Life Sciences. Designed to support future scientists, technologists, and innovators, the scholarship empowers postgraduate students with financial aid, mentorship, and development opportunities. Each year, up to 100 outstanding first-year postgraduate students are selected based on merit. Along with monetary support of up to ?6 lakhs, scholars gain exposure to expert interactions, industry networks, and professional growth opportunities. The program envisions shaping a new generation of leaders who will drive innovation, research, and development for Viksit Bharat 2047.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents:
For Undergraduate:
- Aadhaar Card / Proof of Identity
- Class 12 Marksheet
- Income Certificate / Family Income Proof
- Admission Letter / Proof of Admission for 1st Year
- Bank Account Details
- Passport-size Photograph
For Postgraduate:
- Undergraduate mark sheets and degree certificate
- Proof of admission to PG program
- GATE scorecard or UG CGPA proof
- Identity proof (Aadhar, Passport, or equivalent)
- Income certificate (if applicable)
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- Personal Statement & Statement of Purpose
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
For Undergraduate:
- The applicant must be a resident Indian citizen.
- The applicant must have passed Class 12 with at least 60% marks.
- The applicant must be enrolled in the 1st year (Academic Year 2025-26) of a regular full-time undergraduate degree course in any stream.
- The annual household income must be less than 15 Lakhs (with preference given to applicants earning below 2.5 Lakhs).
- Appearing for the online aptitude test is mandatory.
Not Eligible:
- Students already in the 2nd year or higher.
- Students pursuing degrees via online, distance, hybrid, or part-time modes.
- Students who completed a diploma after Class 10.
- Students pursuing 2-year or 6-year undergraduate programs.
- Students who skip or cheat in the aptitude test.
For Postgraduate:
- Applicant must be a resident Indian citizen.
- Must be enrolled in the first year of a full-time postgraduate degree (2025-26 academic year).
- Should have scored 550 – 1000 in GATE, OR obtained a minimum 7.5 CGPA in undergraduate studies.

- Mathematics & Computing
- Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Renewable & New Energy
- Material Science & Engineering
- Life Sciences
Not Eligible:
- Students in the second year of PG programs.
- Those pursuing courses in online, part-time, hybrid, or distance mode.
- Students pursuing only Mathematics (not under Mathematics & Computing).
- Candidates not attempting the mandatory aptitude test or found cheating.
