The 9th International Congress of the Society for Ethnopharmacology, India (SFEC 2022) will be organized by SFE India, Mysuru Chapter in association with JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, JSS Academy Of Higher Education And Research, Mysore and International Society for Ethnopharmacology, India from 22-24th April 2022.
About the Congress
The theme of this congress "Redefining Ethnopharmacology for global health and wellbeing”, mainly focus on the current scenario of constantly changing and evolving ethnomedicine, encompassing the different systems of traditional systems of medicines, folk medicines, tribal healers etc. Though the technology and science in Herbal drug research and understanding the ethnopharmacology is reaching its peak, yet the challenges in sustainability, safety, efficacy and quality of herbal drugs remains a challenge. Covid-19 pandemic compelled the mankind in general and the scientific community in particular to look at herbal drugs as a safer, better and reliable alternative medicines to treat and prevent diseases than the modern medicine. Hence this congress adopted the theme, which focus and deliberates on strong rational, newer technologies, better strategies to discover newer drugs and formulations from the nature. The congress will be highlighting on several crucial and contemporary issues on the ethnomedicine, ethnopharmacology and medicinal plant research by the renowned scientists across the globe.
