Department Medical Education (DME) in association with the Alumni Association of NTTC JIPMER (AANJ) and JRDA (JIPMER Resident Doctors Association) is organizing its first short film festival on 21st and 22nd March 2022. The theme of the short film festival is Medical Education and Health Promotion through Short Films.
About JIPMER
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) traces its origins to the 'Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry' established by the French Government in 1823. JIPMER became an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, in the year 2008. It is an institution established for teaching, research and patient care. JIPMER is one of the very few institutions in the country that provides teaching from undergraduate to superspeciality & sub-specialties, conducting path-breaking research, and providing speciality care of high order. About DME
The Department Medical Education (DME) formerly known as National Teacher Training Centre (NTTC) has been acclaimed as the pioneer in medical teacher training was established to promote training of health professionals in educational science and technology, apply systematic educational planning to medical education and conduct educational research. The DME conducts the longest-running National Course, making it India's largest capacity building centre. It is also a recognized NMC Regional Centre for faculty development programs and has trained 5033 faculty across the nation in medical education technologies till date. The Department provides guidance and consultancy to medical education units allotted by NMC and the AIIMS institutions by various means.
About AANJ
Alumni Association of NTTC JIPMER (AANJ) is an association of trained members in various NTTC courses. The members of AANJ actively take part in Medical Education Conference (MEDUCON), seminars, webinars, workshops organized by DME and share their educational thoughts and research outcomes. The AANJ serves as a platform for sharing the members knowledge, skills and showcase their achivements in medical education and greatly supports educational networking.
About JRDA
JRDA (JIPMER Resident Doctors Association) is an independent association composed of residents from various departments. It takes role in addressing and representing the issues of residents to the concerned authorities. JRDA also hosts various academic, social, cultural and sports events. JRDA actively promotes new knowledge among medicos via various educational networking systems.
About MEDICOFF 2022
The Medicina Corto Film Fest (MEDICOFFF 2022) is a short film festival organized by the DME in association with AANJ and JRDA to create awareness in the form of short films in medical education and health promotion among teachers and students of medical colleges. MEDICOFF is a first of its kind educational event organized with the support of residents keeping in mind how the 21st-century medicos acquire new knowledge and skills and to show the way forward. Combining medical concept with the art of film making enables the audience to explore, comprehend and enjoy the medical concepts. MEDICOFF provides you a platform not just to showcase your talent, but also to inspire someone’s life and create a positive impact in the society. Let us all unite to make this fest an unforgettable event and it is the time for ‘Lights – Camera – Action'.

Deadline for submission of film is 15.03.2022.

The film can be in any language with mandatory English subtitles.

Time limit should be strictly followed including credits display.

Submissions will be via online mode using Google forms.

Separate payments for each entry in case of multiple entries.

Entry fee once paid will not be refunded or transferred under any circumstances.

Nudity, explicit sexual content or vulgarity are not entertained.
