Nursing College, AIIMS Bhopal & Society of Midwives India (SOMI), MP Chapter is organizing two days virtual conference on the theme - “Synergizing Compassion in Maternal and Newborn care: promoting Equity, Sustainability and Quality” on 8 March 2022 and 9 March 2022.
About the Organizer
All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal is an INI established in the year 2012 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India as an autonomous statutory body under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).
The Nursing College, AIIMS Bhopal established in 2013, strives to create nursing professionals with proficiency in core competencies like patientbased care, professionalism, communication and team work, safety, evidence based practice and leadership. Nursing College offers B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing program in all specialties.
Society of Midwives India (SOMI) is the only professional organization of nursemidwives in India, a member of the ICM (International Confederation of Midwives) which was registered in the year 2000. SOMI has been instrumental in planning and implementing ICM guidelines for promoting high quality maternal & newborn care in India and abroad.The mission of SOMI is to strengthen midwifery as a profession and enable midwives to achieve safe motherhood with in a sociocultural, equitable and ethical context.
About the Conference
Every pregnancy and birth is unique. Improving the well-being of mothers, infants, and children is an important public health goal for India. Their well-being determines the health of the next generation and can help predict future public health challenges for families, communities, and the health care system. Addressing inequalities that affect health outcomes is fundamental to ensure that all women & newborn have access to respectful and high-quality care.
This conference is aimed to provide a robust platform for exchange of ideas and views regarding compassionate Maternal and Newborn care to promote equity, sustainability, quality and excellence. This will also enable the beneficiaries to uplift the Maternal and Newborn care across the country.
Objectives

To express and exchange cognitive reflections on strengthening the midwifery practice in Indian scenario.

To comprehend the concept of family centered approach in promotion of Maternal and Newborn health.

To discuss the utility of digitalization in Maternal & Newborn health care services.

To appreciate the unstinted contribution of Midwives in enhancing positive birth experience.

To enunciate the importance of mutual communication to empower parenting skills.

To highlight and implement Newborn care models to ameliorate quality care.

Guidelines for Preparation of E-concept Poster
-
Participation is open for all categories of nursing personnel (Administration, Education, Clinical Practice and Nursing students).

Abstract of the E-Concept Poster should be limited to single page (300 words) in PDF format, and e-mail to: [email protected].

Author name, designation, affiliation and contact details (mobile no. and email id) should be mentioned below the abstract.

E-Concept Poster should be original, novel and must not be presented anywhere before.

Only one entry per participant is allowed.

Registration for the conference is mandatory for participating in E-Concept Poster presentation.

Only 10 best E-Concept Posters as selected by the scientific committee for each subtheme will be considered for presentation in the conference. The decision of the scientific committee will be final and no further communication in this regard will be entertained.

After the acceptance of E-Concept Poster by the scientific committee, the presenter should submit the E-Concept Poster through e- mail to [email protected] latest by 03/03/2022.

Presentation should not include author’s name, institutional logo or anything that reveals the identity of the presenter. Presentation should only include the Badge No. allotted to the participants after acceptance by the scientific committee.

E-Concept Poster abstract & presentation should be in English using single page/slide in PDF format, prepared in portrait layout and must be selfexplanatory.

Each participant will be allotted 5 minutes for presentation.

All the presenters will be provided with e-certificates.
