INI CET is the abbreviation for Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi conducts the entrance test for admission to PG courses such as Masters of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh). INI CET scores are valid for admission to 10 AIIMS including AIIMS Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Nagpur, Raipur, and Rishikesh, Bathinda, Bibinagar, as well as NIMHANS Bengaluru, JIPMER Puducherry, PGI Chandigarh, and SCTIMST, Trivandrum. With effect from 2021, all these institutes will admit PG students on the basis of the marks obtained in the INI CET exam only. Earlier these 14 institutes used to conduct separate exams for admission to PG courses. The examination is conducted twice a year, January and the July session.

INI CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must possess MBBS degree for MD/MS/DM-6yrs/MCH-6yrs and BDS degree for MDS courses of a University recognized by the National Medical Commission/Medical Council of India as notified by Govt. of India and Dental Council of India respectively and must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training on or before 31st July, 2024 for all INIs except PGIMER Chandigarh.
Candidates who complete their internship after 31st July, 2023 are not eligible for Registration in this examination. Those candidates who have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training on or before 30th June, 2023 are eligible to admission for PG courses at PGIMER Chandigarh. The Indian National, who has obtained eligibility degree in India, must have obtained a minimum of the following marks (aggregate of all professional MBBS/BDS professional examinations). For candidates belonging to the SC/ST Categories 50% marks in aggregate, For all other categories including OBC/EWS Category 55% marks in aggregate, For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities [PWBD] candidates the minimum aggregate as provided in (a) and (b) will be applicable for the category to which the candidate belongs shall apply. 0
