Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is an entrance test for admissions into medical schools in the United States, Canda, Australia, and the Caribbean Islands Countries. This is an international level exam and it is administered by the American Associaton of Medical Colleges (AAMC). The MCAT exam is conducted 25 times in a year and in 21 countries. Candidates can take this exam 3 times over the one year period, 4 times spread over the 2 year period. The candidate can take the exam 7 times in their lifetime.
The MCAT exam is excruciatingly long with a length of almost 7.5 hours and candidates are advised to prepare really well since the MCAT has only a limited number of attempts. So candidates should prepare well before the MCAT so as to avoid the possibility of re-take. To prepare candidates must go through mock tests and develop a sitting habit.
