Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up anesthesia equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Assist anesthesiologists with the administration of anesthesia, including regional, general, and sedation.
- Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after anesthesia administration, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia machines and equipment, ensuring functionality and safety.
- Keep accurate records of medications administered and monitor for any adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure a smooth workflow in the operating room.
- Participate in the maintenance of infection control practices in accordance with hospital policies.
- Stay updated with advancements in anesthesia technology and practices through ongoing education and training.
Qualification & Experience
- Proficiency in operating various anesthesia delivery systems and monitoring devices.
- Strong understanding of pharmacology, especially related to anesthetic agents.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of working in high-pressure environments.
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills to monitor patient responses effectively.
- Good problem-solving skills to address any equipment or patient-related issues swiftly.
- Ability to perform under stress and respond to emergencies effectively.
- Knowledge of safety and hygiene practices in a clinical setting.
- Relevant certification or diploma in Anesthesia Technology or a related field is preferred.
