Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, including medication storage, preparation, and dispensing, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
- Lead, train, supervise, and provide guidance to pharmacy personnel, including support staff, fostering a culture of professional development, accountability, and excellence in service delivery.
- Establish clear departmental goals, objectives, and performance metrics, ensuring alignment with the hospital’s strategic initiatives and patient care objectives.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of staff, identify training needs, and implement professional development programs for pharmacy staff.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet patient care demands.
- Clinical Services and Patient Care:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacotherapy for hospitalized patients while ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medications.
- Oversee patient counselling services, providing education on medication
- Use and safety as needed to improve patient outcomes.
- Implement and monitor clinical pharmacy services such as drug utilization reviews, formulary management, and clinical protocols.
- Pharmacy Operations & Inventory Management:
- Manage the pharmacy's inventory, ensuring that medications are adequately stocked, properly stored, and dispensed according to hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to procure medication,s ensuring the timely availability of essential pharmaceuticals while managing costs effectively.
- Oversee the proper handling and disposal of hazardous and controlled substances in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure that the pharmacy operates within budgetary constraints, identifying opportunities for cost containment without compromising patient care quality.
Qualification & Experinece
- Qualification: B.Pharm + PG in Supply Chain Management
- Experience: 10 to 15 years of experience in Healthcare
