Senior Executive - Auxillary Nurse - OT

Job Description:

 Responsibilities

• Check daily inventory before every shift commences.
• Ensure OT surface and equipment are clean and in functional condition. Inform Incharge if equipment /instruments are in nonfunctional status.
• Prepare OR for surgery based on the cases.
• Position patients appropriately
• Ensure safety and comfort of patient
• Assist in transporting to and from OT
• Monitor vital parameters,height weight and anthoprometric measurements
• Dispatches the specimen to the laboratory for analysis after completion of the procedure and maintains records.
• Provide lactation support for mother and encourage and support Kangaroo mother care
• Maintains records of the usage of equipment, consumable and non-consumable items in the OT.
• Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocols
• Ensures instruments sterility
• Ensures instruments are rinsed before sending to CSSD for sterilization
• Displays professionalism while completing multiple urgent tasks in a timely manner.
• Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
• Ensure patient safety and quality of care as per protocol
• Practice nursing code of ethics
• Attend in-service education as per schedule
• Report incidents
