To effectively interface with patients / attendants / physicians / other service users with high level of responsiveness.
To demonstrate adequate knowledge skill in implementing infection control practices.
To be able to plan an effective infection control programmed in order to keep low infection rate.
Liaise closely with the hospital Microbiology laboratory (for scrutiny of inpatients investigation reports to detect pathogenesis).
Co relates the pathogenic organisms to the respected areas in the hospital.
Compiling the data in the logbook daily while on rounds and a monthly report of statistical data to the ICC, which is neatly tabulated.
Supervise and advice on isolation techniques generally and in specific clinical situation.
Provide clinical advice and support to Nurses, Healthcare workers and Nonclinical Personnel on infection control issues. ? Establishes a follow-up surveillance of discharged patients.
Maintains records of needle stick injured and post exposure prophylaxis.
To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of hospital.
To have complete awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
To comply with the service quality process, environment & occupational issues & policies of the respective area.
To comply with patient safety policy.
To ensure safe utilization of equipment and proper waste disposal system.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) - Nursing GNM Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
