Junior Scientific Officer - Blood Bank

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Setting up of the laboratory and Blood Bank.
• To get Blood Bank ready for inspection by FDA, Drug Controller and other experts and obtaining license.
• Helping management in recruitment of staff for Blood Bank.
• Quality control testing in the Blood Bank.
• Oversee day-to-day operations.
• Training technical staff in newer techniques.
• Helping in setting up a Transfusion Committee in the Hospital.
• Checking and signing of Blood Bank Records and QC Records.
• Checking and signing of Serology readings.
• Attendance of staff and whether they are observing universal precautions.
• Checking and signing Monthly Reports to be sent to M&E, SBTC and FDA.
• Any other work assigned from time to time.
