Consultant Gastroenterologist

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage disorders related to the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
• Conduct OPD consultations and manage admitted patients (IPD).
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including:
• Upper GI Endoscopy
• Colonoscopy
• Sigmoidoscopy
• ERCP (if trained and credentialed)
• Other advanced GI procedures as applicable
• Assess, investigate, and formulate treatment plans for patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, intensivists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary patient care.
• Participate in emergency GI services and on-call duties as per hospital requirements.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
• Adhere to NABH standards, hospital policies, and clinical protocols.
• Conduct patient and family counseling regarding diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.
• Support clinical audits, quality initiatives, CMEs, and community awareness programs. 

Qualification & Experience 

• Qualification
• MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
• MD/DNB (General Medicine) or equivalent.
• DM/DNB (Gastroenterology) from a recognized institution.
• Valid Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC) registration or eligibility for registration.
• Experience
• Fresh DM/DNB Gastroenterology graduates or experienced consultants may apply.
• Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic GI endoscopy preferred.
• Exposure to advanced GI procedures and hepatology management will be an added advantage.
