Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient (OPD) consultations for patients with heart disease, hypertension, heart?failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular conditions.
• Conduct clinical rounds in wards, CCU/ICU, and emergency services, and manage acute cardiac emergencies (acute MI, cardiogenic shock, unstable arrhythmias, etc.).
• Order and interpret investigations such as ECG, 2D?echo, TMT, Holter, ambulatory BP, CT?angiography, and cardiac MRI as needed.
• Perform or supervise cath?lab procedures (diagnostic angiography, angioplasty, device implantation) if the role is interventional?oriented.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and nurses, and participate in conferences, audits, and quality?improvement activities.
• Supervise junior doctors, residents, and trainees in cardiology and contribute to teaching, research, and guideline?based protocols.

Qualification & Experience

• Super-speciality degree: DM in Cardiology or DrNB in Cardiology from a recognised university/medical council.
• Licensing: Valid medical license to practice in the state/region where the hospital is located.
• Experience: 2+ years of post?DM/DrNB experience in cardiology (clinical and/or interventional), depending on the hospital tier and seniority of the post.
