Infection Control Nurse

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance of HAIs including CAUTI, CLABSI, VAP and SSI.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain infection surveillance data.
• Identify infection trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly infection control reports and dashboards.
• Implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures throughout the hospital.
• Monitor compliance with hand hygiene, PPE usage and isolation precautions.
• Conduct infection control rounds and audits.
• Participate in outbreak investigations and containment activities.
• Conduct staff training programmes on infection prevention and control.
• Assist in development and review of infection control policies and SOPs.
• Maintain surveillance, audit and compliance records.
• Any other work/responsibility assigned by the HOD/Management in the course of business/work whether within the same unit/dept or any other unit/dept from time to time

Qualification & Experience

• Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing / GNM
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of clinical nursing experience
