Responsibilities
• Ensure medicines are issued to all floors within the scheduled time.
• Issue indents from wards and arrange delivery of medicines to respective wards as required.
• Perform billing before handing over medicines to wards/patients, ensuring correct quantity, batch number, expiry date and MRP.
• Furnish information about available medicines to doctors and nurses as and when required.
• Daily updating of narcotic registers and stock maintenance.
• Maintain records of all purchases, receipts and issue of drugs.
• Index and store medicines for easy retrieval.
• Ensure availability of narcotic drugs and maintain stock levels.
• Follow the FEFO policy while issuing medicines.
• Resolve patient queries with the support of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Conduct physical stock verification as required.
• Ensure issue of narcotics and dangerous drugs only after proper authorization and documentation.
• Keep the Pharmacy Manager informed about new medicine requirements as per prescriptions received.
• Ensure narcotics in the pharmacy store are kept double locked at all times.
• Ensure life-saving drugs are stored at optimum levels to meet emergencies.
• Ensure drugs are not stored beyond expiry date and arrange disposal of expired medicines.
• Ensure returned medicines are in intact packs and have not been opened or partially used.
• Ensure cleanliness of the Pharmacy department.
• Be part of Quality Improvement Initiatives and organizational protocols.
Qualification & Experience
• Diploma in Pharmacy / Bachelor in Pharmacy
• 0–5 Years
