Provide comprehensive medical care, including routine and emergency coverage, in the critical care unit
Perform critical care procedures such as central line insertion, IV channelization, and intubation, and operate critical care equipment such as ventilators
Ensure adherence to clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols
Monitor and manage critically ill patients, including responding promptly to changes in their condition and reporting complex health issues to the concerned consultant
Participate in daily rounds independently or alongside consultants, following up on patient care plans and implementing necessary changes
Prepare accurate and detailed treatment sheets, progress notes, and discharge summaries
Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Assist in the assessment of new admissions to the ICU and manage pain relief protocols where required
Follow the department’s on-call and duty schedule as assigned
Qualification & Experience
Either (a) MD in Medicine or Anaesthesia with 1-2 years of experience in critical care, or (b) MD with fellowship in critical care
0-5 years experience in critical care of a reputed hospital
