Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Nursing Care Model Design
- Design nursing care systems for OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, emergency, and specialty wards
- Define nursing workflows from patient admission to discharge
- Create standard nursing care processes that can be used across all hospitals
- Nursing Workforce Planning
- Define nursing staffing ratios and shift systems
- Design nursing roles and levels (ANM, GNM, BSc, MSc structure)
- Plan workload distribution and duty rosters
- Match staffing plans with hospital size and specialties
- Patient Safety & Quality Systems
- Design systems to ensure patient safety in daily care
- Create nursing audit and quality monitoring systems
- Define infection control and risk management practices
- Ensure compliance with hospital quality standards and accreditation needs (e.g., NABH readiness)
- Linking Clinical Work to Nursing Execution
- Convert clinical instructions into clear nursing workflows
- Ensure nursing teams can safely execute clinical plans
- Identify and fix gaps between clinical design and real-world nursing practice
- Infrastructure & Equipment Inputs
- Define nursing needs for hospital design and layout
- Give inputs for ICU, ward, OT, and emergency design from nursing perspective
- Guide placement and usability of medical equipment
- Ensure design supports safe and efficient patient care
- Training & Standardization
- Design nursing training and onboarding programs
- Create SOPs and training manuals for nursing staff
- Define skill levels and competency standards for nursing roles
- Help standardize nursing practices across all hospitals
Qualification & Experience
- BSc Nursing (mandatory); MSc Nursing / Postgraduate specialization preferred; Healthcare management qualification (MHA / Hospital Administration diploma) (mandatory)
- 10–15 years’ experience in nursing leadership roles - Nursing Superintendent / Head Nurse / Nursing Director preferred
- Exposure to multi-specialty or tertiary care hospitals and preferably a teaching hospital with an attached nursing college
- Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals strongly preferred
- Exposure to ICU, OT, emergency nursing systems preferred
- Experience in hospital commissioning or greenfield setup is a strong advantage
