Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Officiating in the absence of the Nursing Superintendent.
• Preparing and presenting statistical information on department performance and activities.
• Implementing quality as per NABH standards to improve performance and process.
• Planning training and development programmes.
• Implementing, planning and evaluating education programmes.
• Planning biomedical waste disposal, planning the needs of the floors and critical areas and formulation of nursing policies and objectives.
• Planning infection control programmes.
• Ensuring availability of adequate levels of staff.
• Ensuring necessary discipline and recommending termination, when necessary.
• Submitting annual reports of nursing service to Nursing Superintendent.
• Assisting the Nursing Superintendent in selecting equipments needed for the hospital.
• Maintaining confidential reports and records of nursing personnel.
• Participating in meetings and conferences.
