Responsibilities

• Prepare discharge summaries, operative notes, clinic notes, and referral letters
• Ensure correct use of medical terminology, abbreviations, and style
• Review transcribed reports for consistency and completeness
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare providers to clarify unclear dictations
• Coordinate with medical records staff to ensure timely document availability
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations
• Follow hospital policies, medical transcription guidelines, and legal standards
• Meet productivity and turnaround time requirements
