Conduct comprehensive pre-anaesthetic assessments and optimize patients before surgery.
Administer general, regional, neuraxial, and monitored anaesthesia care for elective and emergency procedures.
Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage anaesthetic complications promptly.
Provide postoperative care, including acute pain management and recovery room supervision.
Manage critically ill patients in the ICU, including airway management, mechanical ventilation, and hemodynamic support.
Participate in emergency response teams for trauma, cardiac arrest, obstetric, and difficult airway emergencies.
Perform procedural sedation in operating rooms and remote locations such as endoscopy, interventional radiology, and cardiac catheterization laboratories.
Supervise, mentor, and teach junior residents, interns, and medical students.
Participate in departmental academic meetings, clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and research activities.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols.
Participate in on-call, weekend, and night duty rosters as assigned.
Qualification & Experience
MBBS with MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology (or equivalent recognized qualification).
Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council.
Fellowship or specialized training in critical care, pain medicine, cardiac anaesthesia, or neuroanaesthesia is desirable.
