Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Attend OPD patients and prescribe relevant care plan.
• Ensure accurate and complete record keeping.
• Study admitted patients’ medical history then meet with them to discuss their complaints and symptoms.
• Examination and diagnostic testing of patients.
• Make diagnosis and recommend surgery or other treatment.
• Prescribe drugs and supplements.
• Supervise or perform routine OPD procedures, noninvasive procedures minor surgical procedures independently and perform independently / assist major surgical procedure to senior consultants/director.
• Conduct academic activities like Case presentation, Seminars & journal clubs.
• Guide & supervise junior doctors to patients in emergency and night calls, carry out appropriate emergency management.
• Attend interdepartmental referrals and prescribes appropriate management plan.
• Ensure preoperative fitness of surgical patients.
• To perform under supervision, assist procedure in the following subspecialities
• Pediatric orthopedics
• Spine surgery
• Musculoskeletal oncology
• Arthroplasty.
• Sports Injuries

• To perform independently / supervise residents in , procedure in the following subspecialities 
• Shoulder & Elbow surgery
• Orthopedic Trauma
• Hand Surgery
• Foot Surgery
• Pediatric Orthopedics
• Ensure implementation of postoperative care plans and recommend lifestyle changes including diet, exercise and other matters.
• Finalize and counter sign on discharges prepared by resident doctors/Clinical Associate.
