ResponsibilitiesA professional approach must be adapted with all patients, staff and visitors. To provide medical cover, routine and emergency, during hours of duty and work in conjunction with the other specialties to serve the institute. Follow all Clinical safety, hygiene, infection control protocols to be adhered to (eg wearing gloves when required, aprons, hand hygiene, etc). Required to and be available to see patients when required or when requested. Required to assist the Consultants in the operation theatre and to assist in surgeries under supervision of Consultants. Required to be skilled and knowledgeable enough to identify the complex surgical problems, and take appropriate action in case of emergency with due approvals / permission by treating Consultant. Required to participate and contribute to in Classroom and bedside teaching programs for postgraduate students and RMOs. Required to identify the complex health problems and report immediately to the concerned doctor. Required to supervise Post graduate students; however, the attending physician is ultimately responsible for the care of the patient. Supervise daily clinical management of all patients in conjunction with the PG students, nurse team leaders and under the guidance of Consultants. Should be able to prescribe pain management medicines if need be. Effective communication with patients, family, colleagues and other health care workers. Treatment sheets are to be with diagnosis in capital letters. Each treatment sheet should be dated, named and signed by the writing doctor. ResponsibilitiesTo provide expert consultation and manage all patients related to Urological disorders.Diagnose, treat, and help prevent benign and malignant medical and surgical disorders of the urogenital system.Should be willing to work in a multi disciplinary team.Understand responsibility pertaining to hospital codes.Must be familiar with NABH standards, protocols and documentation process.Examine patients using equipment, such as radiograph (x-ray) machines and fluoroscopes, to determine the nature and extent of disorder or injury.Treat urologic disorders using alternatives to traditional surgery.Direct the work of nurses, residents, or other staff to provide patient care and be a partner in their ongoing training.Provide urology consultation to physicians or other health care professionals.Document or review patients' histories.Diagnose or treat diseases or disorder of genitourinary organs and tracts including erectile dysfunction.Observing and monitoring patients during surgery.Resuscitating and stabilizing patients in the emergency departmentTo be available for emergency calls of the O.T. & the Emergency Department.To facilitate teaching and training programs of O.T. MS/DNB (General Surgery). MCh/DNB (Urology) from a recognized institution. Valid registration with State Medical Council/NMC.

Qualification & Experience    B.SC / DIPLOMA IN OPERATION THEATER TECHNOLOGYExperience: RELEVANT EXP. OF MIN. 15 YRS. IN ANY MULTI/SUPER-SPECIALITY HOSPITAL. CANDIDATE MUST BE A COMPUTER SAVVY HAVING EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP SKILLS & DECISION MAKING SKILL. WELL VERSED IN OT PROCEDURES WITH THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE & PRACTICAL EXPOSURE IN DIFFERENT SURGICAL SPECIALITIES LIKE GENERAL SURGERY, ORTHOPAEDICS, NEUROSURGERY, CARDIAC SURGERY, GYNAECOLOGY, UROLOGY ETC.
