ResponsibilitiesAssist in setting up operating room according to type of surgery to be performed, which includes obtaining, arranging testing of equipment, supplies and accessories as per schedules. Shave and carry out pre-op preparation of operative site as per requirements of surgeon. Check whether all equipments in the OT are in working condition daily, replace missing or damaged equipment and /or send to Biomedical Department after making entry in the books informing OT in charge. Assist anesthetist/surgeon/nurses in preparing the patients for the procedure, positioning them in a prescribed manner, as per surgery/surgeon, assist in moving patient into wheeled stretcher to ICU/recovery room after completion of operation. Circulate for cases whenever the need arises for short period. Relieve nurses in between cases for breaks. Assist in cleanup of operating theater following surgery: includes disposal of used supplies and dispatching instruments for sterilization / cleaning of equipments used in anaesthesia, etc and OT table accessories. Personally clean and change all tubing/linen on anesthesia machine after the cases are done or/and at the end of the day. Check all anaesthesia trolley/crash cart for update and validity of drugs.Understands the functioning and then knows the case of every equipment in the OT. (C Arm, microscope, cautery, OT table, Suction, Syringe Pumps, etc) Check cylinder supplies (oxygen, nitrous) as per requirements of OT cases. Keep and take inventory of all equipments/cables used for anaesthesia on all shifts and reports damage or breakage to OT in charge and send the same for repairs to the Biomed / Engineering department after entry in HIS/log book Receive and replenish sterile supplies from CSSD along with the nurses at the end of the day and place on racks allotted according to specialty Ensure and supervise cleaning of C ARM every evening whether it has been used or not. Knowledgeable of OT protocols and personnel safety. To carry out any other tasks assigned by the superior from time to time.Qualification & Experience      Able to work accurately and with minimal supervision.Ability to comprehend written instructions given by the related departmental personnel.Ability to plan & organize ones work schedule effectively.Speaking and listening are essential requirements to understand and carry out the instructions given by the supervisors and other related departmental personnel.Affinity to work in team.Enthusiasm.

Qualification & Experience                  Qualification required – MD or DNB in Transfusion Medicine or immunohematology or Pathology, recognized by the National Medical Commission.Experience – Min. 2/ 3 years of post- qualification experience in Transfusion Medicine or a licensed Blood Centre. FDA approved candidate will be preferred.                

ResponsibilitiesPerforming assigned patient care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines set forth by federal, state and local regulation.The Hemodialysis technician assures effective and efficient service and responds to the licensed caregiver's direction any time the treatment varies from normal parameters, or the patient's condition becomes unstable. Sets up and operates hemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney.Attaches dialyzer and tubing to machine to assemble for use.Mixes dialysate, according to formula. Primes dialyzer with saline or heparinised solution to prepare machine for use. Transports patient to dialysis room and positions patient on lounge chair at hemodialysis machine.  Takes and records patient's predialysis weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration rate. Explains dialysis procedure and operation of haemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties. Cleans area of access (fistula, graft, or catheter), using antiseptic solution.Connects hemodialysis machine to access in patient's forearm or catheter site to start blood circulating through dialyzer.Inspects equipment settings, including pressures, conductivity (proportion of chemicals to water), and temperature to ensure conformance to safety standards. Starts blood flow pump at prescribed rate. Inspects venous and arterial pressures as registered on equipment to ensure pressures are within established limits. Calculates fluid removal or replacement to be achieved during dialysis procedure. Monitors patient for adverse reaction and hemodialysis machine for malfunction.To maintain appropriate departmental documentation.To treat all communication about patients, staff, and other organizational business confidentially.To be involved in quality Assurance / Quality control activities.To perform all the jobs as may be assigned due to exigencies of work.Participation in Continuous Quality Improvement.Qualification & ExperienceQualification: Diploma in DialysisWork Experience: 2-5
