ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive pre-anaesthetic assessments and optimize patients before surgery.Administer general, regional, neuraxial, and monitored anaesthesia care for elective and emergency procedures.Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage anaesthetic complications promptly.Provide postoperative care, including acute pain management and recovery room supervision.Manage critically ill patients in the ICU, including airway management, mechanical ventilation, and hemodynamic support.Participate in emergency response teams for trauma, cardiac arrest, obstetric, and difficult airway emergencies.Perform procedural sedation in operating rooms and remote locations such as endoscopy, interventional radiology, and cardiac catheterization laboratories.Supervise, mentor, and teach junior residents, interns, and medical students.Participate in departmental academic meetings, clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and research activities.Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols.Participate in on-call, weekend, and night duty rosters as assigned.Qualification & ExperienceMBBS with MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology (or equivalent recognized qualification).Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council.Fellowship or specialized training in critical care, pain medicine, cardiac anaesthesia, or neuroanaesthesia is desirable.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and check anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitors, suction apparatus, and gas supply systems before procedures.Assist anesthesiologists during general, regional, and local anesthesia administration.Prepare airway equipment, intubation trays, IV lines, syringes, emergency drugs, and monitoring devices.Monitor and record patient vital signs during procedures under supervision.Ensure proper sterilization, cleaning, and maintenance of anesthesia instruments and reusable equipment.Maintain anesthesia carts, emergency crash carts, and OT inventory.Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report malfunctions immediately.Assist in invasive procedures such as arterial lines, central lines, and difficult airway management.Ensure availability of oxygen cylinders, soda lime canisters, and essential anesthesia supplies.Support patient positioning and transportation before and after procedures.Follow infection control protocols, biomedical waste management, and patient safety guidelines.Maintain accurate documentation of equipment checks, maintenance logs, and inventory records.Assist during emergency and trauma cases whenever required.Coordinate effectively with surgeons, OT nurses, ICU staff, and other healthcare professionals.Qualification & ExperienceDiploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Anesthesia Technology or Operation Theatre Technology.Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred.Relevant experience in OT or anesthesia department preferred.
