ResponsibilitiesObtain and document patient assessment incorporating all available data and information. Plan and document a nursing care plan using the nursing process and set priorities of care. Deliver care using the nursing process; delegate and supervise care delivered by junior staff nurses. Evaluate each shift's nursing interventions and document; revise care plans as required. Participate in Nursing Quality Assurance programs. Identify unsafe care practices and contribute to corrective action. Take over from previous shift nurse and check bedside checklist items.
