ResponsibilitiesPerforms MRI/CT imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site Radiologist.  Completes and signs Patient Screening form and explains the procedure to the patient. Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the coach and during the exam.  Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols. Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures. Maintains current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed. Provide images to the facility in the desired site format. Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members. May assist with the set up and tear down of equipment in accordance with SMS and/or manufacturers’ guidelines. Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the facility. Completes necessary administrative tasks. ie: time reports, billing, QA, etc. Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality. Complies with all safety policies and regulations. Performs additional duties as required. Qualification & ExperienceMust be able to produce very high quality special imaging with little supervision. Must be willing and able to assist the Radiologist in his/her interpretation of exams. Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment. Hand over reports, recorded CDs, and test results to relevant departments. Coordinate stock management with the nursing team, ensuring accurate billing for procedures. Maintain consignment item checklists and report equipment issues or temperature variations. Follow up with inventory usage reports and adhere to infection control protocols. Safety, Compliance, and Development Participate in routine staff training, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) recertification. In the morning take ‘handover’ from Sister I/c in Recovery Checking of equipment like Pulse Oxymeter, Syringe Pump, Telescopes, Uro instruments, Double lumen cleaning brush, light source etc. Inform the Sister I/c if any machine or instrument / equipment is faulty and if it can be repaired in the OT itself or send complaint to the Maintenance Dept./ Biomedical Checking of all the cables and probes and ensuring the equipment is fully charged Checking of machines – Defibrillator, ECG Monitor, etc Cleaning, dusting and keeping ready for surgery – Monitors, Pulse Oxymeter, C-Arm, ENT trolley, Neuro trolley, Uro cupboard, Cautary machine, Baby trolley, Ambu bag, Defibrillator Cleaning, connecting & setting of the microscope as per requirement C-Arm machine cleaning and covering. Transferring from one OT to other and connecting and setting for the respective operations. Help Sister or Dr’s during surgery.
