ResponsibilitiesAdmit patients for Observation /OT/Other Procedures ( planned & unplanned) Interface with various areas of Operation i.e Housekeeping, Maintenance, Nursing, OT, Wards, Billing, Laboratory, Transport etc. to enhance patient service. Co-ordinate with Consultants for patient admission etc. Act as an Interface between patient/ patient party and Hospital and its services maintaining a smooth information flow. Coordinate with emergency department for exigencies and MLC. Brief rates / tariffs of different Procedural Packages/OT, Observation charges including Bed / Room rates and other elements, services etc to patient / relatives. Coordinate Ambulance services. Maintaining following files/register: Admission register, Discharge register, Corporate communication documents file, Mortuary Register etc. Coordinate with billing dept, discharge summary typing dept and ward coordinators to facilitate IP discharges. Issue of Discharge Card and CAG / PTCA CD s to the patient relatives. Issue of Special Pass to relatives during non visiting hours ( If required) Coordinating with relatives of OT patients and providing them information regarding the ongoing operation of their patient as and when enquired for. Handling Death of patient which includes interacting with the patient relatives, coordinating with the doctors, nurses, ward coordinator, billing and housekeeping. Handling police cases / medico legal cases. Handling the mortuary process from storing a dead body in mortuary till handing over to patient party with due identification etc. Maintain death register, Death Certificate file & Mortuary register. Any other duties as and when assigned by the superiors.

ResponsibilitiesTakes handover from the outgoing staff and performs inventory checking as allotted by Lead Nurse Specialist. Collects current symptoms, as well as a detailed patient history and then consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. Monitors patient throughout (before/ during/ after) the labour. Monitors contractions and helps patient with breathing and massage techniques. Manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the attending physician is available, based upon nursing standards and protocol. Initiates corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology. Attend to all the medical needs of the patient as he/she arrives in the labor room and gives report to the clinician on duty based on the priority need of the patient. Assists the consultant/ registrar in examining the laboring mother and consistently informs the patient and accompanied relative regarding prognosis in consultation with the physician. Prepares, administers and records prescribed medications as per hospital policy (High risk High Alert /LASA medication, Narcotic Policy and Verbal order policy). Checks patient’s cervix and NST, periodically and monitors progression of labor. Positions the patient for delivery and aids consultant with Personal Protective Equipments and provides sterile instruments during the birthing process. Provides immediate care to the newborn as per the policy and protocol. Takes part in maintaining proper supplies and appropriate medical equipment for care of the patients and reports to the Lead Nurse Specialist/ Senior Nurse Executive in case of breakdown. Displays professionalism while completing multiple urgent tasks in a timely manner. Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing the OT for surgical procedures, including equipment setup and sterilization. Support senior nurses and surgical team during operations by passing instruments, positioning patients, and managing surgical supplies. Monitor and record vital signs during procedures under supervision. Ensure accurate documentation of nursing care and surgical details. Assist in shifting patients safely to and from the OT. Provide pre-operative care including checking patient identity, consent, and pre-surgery preparation. Support recovery room nursing as assigned. Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and comfort throughout the OT process. Follow strict aseptic techniques, personal protective measures, and infection control policies. Participate in cleaning and disinfecting the OT before and after procedures. Handle soiled linen, waste, and surgical instruments as per hospital protocols. Assist in counting sponges, instruments, and sharps before and after surgery. Replenish supplies and inform seniors about low stock or damaged equipment. Participate in drills, training programs, and regular skill development activities. Follow surgical safety for all procedures. Perform procedures as per the policies and protocols. Assists for golden hour feeding and KMC.

ResponsibilitiesIssuing ward indents and entry for the same in the software. Stock processing-receiving, checking, unpacking, putting away, displaying. Dispatches drugs to nursing units with proper care and security during transit. Records requisitions accurately. Maintains general cleanliness of department: dispensing counter, computer hardware and electronic balance. Assists Pharmacy In charge with inventory by counting drugs and supplies Records the temperature log on every 8th hour Helps in arrangement of the Pharmacy
